Client overview

We collaborated closely with OpenPhone to map out the overall structure of the new website by creating dozens of rough wireframes concepts and simple prototypes. Once the general structure and expected outcome was settled, we went through a final round of UX polishing, then proceeded to work on illustrations and initial visual direction.After a few iterations and changes, the ideas started coming to life, and we proceeded with polished illustrations and high-fidelity UI designs, along with interaction concepts and clickable prototypes.

Over the lifetime of this project, we continuously iterated over each section of the DAO, constantly discovering new solutions for complex onboarding and user-retention workflows.Along the way, we worked on marketing materials, from the marketing site itself, to banners and promotional videos, which included storyboarding, illustration, motion design and voice acting.

Problem

With UI8 being a leading design team in the crypto-space, EarthFund founder has reached out to us with just an idea of a crowdfunding DAO. It was our job to take this idea from the whitepaper stage all the way to a live product.

Solution

In blockchain projects, it is vital to have a good understanding of user journeys, which can come from either experience, in-depth research, or both. Thus, the first 2-3 weeks of the project were dedicated to research and hands-on ideation sessions with the Earth Fund team. This resulted in the first set of core feature wireframes and UI designs, which, over the next 6 months, were expanded on, polished and implemented.
